Solomon no Kagi: Oujo Rihita no Namida  Salio (Aisystem Tokyo)1988 europeanfae ghosts instantdeath keys lives magic monsters nofalldamage npcspawning score secrets timelimit walking "Solomon's Key" is a mix of puzzle and platform game. In each level you have to find a key which opens the exit door to the next level. With your magical wand you can make blocks appear and disappear. Thus you can free or build you way to the key or exit door. Many monsters roam the levels, which can be killed with limited charges of fireballs. Under many blocks extra items can be found, like extra charges, extra time and so on. The Master System version of this game is very well done. Maybe my favourite 8-bit version of the game, with brighter colors than other versions. It retains its good playability, although as in all other versions as well, the game becomes a bit too challenging too early. labelimageminimize

[22]***"Maze Hunter 3D" is another game for Sega's 3D glasses peripheral. In each maze level you have to first find a key and then the exit, whilst avoiding coming in touch with monsters. You can either jump over monsters or kill them with some kind of power stick. Graphics change after a few levels (new worlds like ice world, jungle world etc), but the basic structure and gameplay always stay the same with very little variety. Maybe with the 3D effect of the glasses it is more interesting, but without (on an emulator with 3D effect disabled) it became a rather boring affair after a short while.***

Astro Warrior & Pit Pot Sega1986 bossbattles consoleclassix did instantdeath keys lives powerups rescue walking Two games on one cartridge:

Pit Pot: The Magical Castle The princess has been kidnapped. To rescue her, navigate your way through each room while avoiding its inhabitants such as dragons and guards. If necessary, use your magical hammer to knock them off the screen. You can also knock a gray tile that they are on to cause them to fall down and die. You exit each room by passing through doors, but you have to find a golden key that will unlock some of them.

Astro Warrior Blast your way through three zones, including Galaxy Zone, Asteroid Zone, and Nebula Zone. Enemies will start making their way down the screen, but you only have bullets to deal with them. There are flashing points on the terrain in which you can shoot at, Shooting enough of these will cause a number of green ships, which when destroyed, will upgrade your firepower. At the end of each zone, you come face to face with a boss, and it is likely that you are going to need that extra firepower.

Pit Pot  Sega1985 did difficulty instantdeath keys rescue score walking In "Pit Pot" you control a little knight on a quest to rescue a princess from a dungeon full of evil creatures. The game looks a bit like the dungeons from Zelda, but gameplay is a bit different. You mostly have to find keys in the rooms to open up further rooms. The looks and sounds good. It somewhat cute, but also rather difficult. One of the more interesting early Master System games.***The princess has been kidnapped and held captive inside the castle, and your job is to navigate each room by collecting all the goodies, and killing monsters using the hammer that a witch gave you. Once you have done that, you must get through one of the open doorways. To navigate the room, you can walk either on the gray tiles, or the yellow ones that surround them. Monsters also can walk on these gray tiles, but you can make them fall down if you smash a tile that they're on. The monsters will regenerate in the room after five seconds.

Be careful of dragons that will throw fireballs at you. If you get hit by a dragon, its fireball, or one of the monsters, you will lose a life. You can collect keys that will open locked doorways, so that you can exit through them. Some power-ups can also be collected. Collecting hearts, for example, will freeze all monsters on screen for a limited amount of time, giving you the opportunity of killing them.***Outside Japan Pit Pot was only available via a combo-cartridge together with [game=#9209]Astro Warrior[/game].
